One of the things that I love most about Virginia is that it doesn’t get nearly as cold as Chicago and since it doesn’t get as cold as Chicago I’m able to hold on to my favorite fashion season just a little bit longer. This was the first year that we were able to go out and enjoy traditional fall festivities, last year we were much too busy from the move from Hawaii to Virginia and the year before that we went pumpking picking in Hawaii while it was 90 degrees outside wearing flip flops (the whole event was kinda weird). But this year is different.
Fall is my favorite fashion season because of one thing and that’s BOOTS! Don’t get me wrong I love scarves, a cute coat, and a deep purple lip but the BOOTS make the outfit. My favorite style of boot is undoubtedly a thigh high boot, and I was happy to collaborate with Famous Footwear to highlight some of not only my own but also my families favorite fall shoe fashion.
We recently took a ride to Turtle Creek Farm in Newsome, Virginia to pick pumpkins and take in the beautiful scenic view. I’d been there previously, so I called and requested that we visit after hours to avoid crowds and to also have free reign of the place, the owners were awesome and gave us full access after hours and we took full adavantage of this.
As you already know, Vayda is about that farm life, so she was really in her element. I, on the other hand, was pretty much terrified by everything except the horses. The horses were beautiful. There was a turkey who tried to fight me-yes he tried to fight me and you guys know my history with turkeys!
I’m also glad we decided to go after hours because the lighting was beautiful.
Boy Style
The boys (as always) wore matching outfits and Nike Tanjuns. The Tanjus are perfect for the boys because they are easy to slip on and stylish. I also loved that Famous Footwear offers them in adult sizes so I can totally bully my husband into matching with the boys if I need to.
Vayda’s Style
Vayda was excited to finally wear her Twinkle Toes (sprinkles glitter everywhere) and I have to say she looked adorable in them. I should also note that she pretty much wears them every day because they match everything she owns which is all things sparkly and pink.
*Side note the shoes light up when she walks and she has not stopped jumping since.
Daddy Style
Now my husband is clearly very handsome and stylish (if I dress him) so I picked out this look, his Perry Ellis Boot looked great on him and from what he says it’s a very comfortable shoe. 
He wears a uniform and those horrid boots Monday through Friday so these shoes were perfect for a casual yet comfortable look. 
Mommy Style
These girls -formally callded the Circus Jasmine Boots, have easily become my new favorite thigh high boot because they are reallllyyyy comfortable and I’m assuming it’s because of the thicker heel, they also have some dainty bows on the back. 
They were also my go to shoe during our recent trip to Chicago.
It was nice to take some time from our busy schedules to make some memories as a family and to look cute doing it. Famous Footwear is our go to for all of our Fall shoe favorites because I can easily find everything we need and love.
