Last Updated: April 30, 2026 | Effective Date: April 30, 2026
Mommy’s Dressing Room is a curated information service. By accessing or using mommysdressingroom.com, our membership content, our private community spaces, our email communications, our social media accounts, or any related content, you acknowledge and agree to the disclaimers below.
1. Curator Role — Not Endorsement
Mommy’s Dressing Room curates information about youth programs, scholarships, summer camps, after-school activities, trade school opportunities, and family resources primarily in the Chicagoland area, along with related lifestyle, family, and parenting content.
Except where expressly disclosed as a sponsored or paid relationship in accordance with Section 8 below, we are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any program, organization, business, school, instructor, or service provider listed in our content.
Inclusion of any program in our blog posts, member drops, emails, social media content, or community discussions does NOT constitute:
- An endorsement of the program or its operators
- A recommendation that you enroll your child
- A guarantee of program quality, safety, or suitability
- A representation that the program is appropriate for any specific child
- A vouching of the program’s instructors, staff, facilities, or methods
We share programs because we find them interesting or potentially valuable for Chicagoland families — not because we have personally inspected, vetted, or guaranteed any aspect of those programs.
2. No Guarantee of Accuracy
All program details — including but not limited to:
- Dates, times, and schedules
- Costs, fees, and pricing structures
- Age requirements and prerequisites
- Locations and meeting venues
- Instructor names and qualifications
- Registration deadlines and procedures
- Program availability and capacity
- Curriculum, activities, or educational content
- Background check status of staff
- Insurance, licensing, or certifications
— are subject to change by the program provider at any time without notice to us.
We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability of any information shared.
Each program listing reflects information available to us at the time of publication. You agree to independently verify all program details directly with the program provider before:
- Registering your child
- Making any payment or financial commitment
- Sharing program information with others
- Making decisions based on the listing
3. Parent/Guardian Responsibility
Decisions regarding your child’s enrollment, participation, and supervision in any program listed in our content are entirely YOUR decision and YOUR responsibility.
You expressly agree that you will:
- Verify all program details directly with the program provider before enrolling
- Conduct your own due diligence regarding program safety, staff qualifications, background checks, insurance coverage, facility conditions, and suitability for your specific child
- Review each program’s own terms, waivers, releases, contracts, and policies before signing or paying
- Monitor your child’s experience and remove them from any program that proves unsafe, inappropriate, or unsatisfactory
- Make independent decisions about your child’s participation based on YOUR knowledge of YOUR child and YOUR family’s circumstances
We do not act in loco parentis. We do not supervise programs. We do not vet instructors. We do not certify safety. You are the parent. The decision is yours.
4. No Professional Advice
Content shared in our membership, blog, emails, social media, or community spaces does NOT constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to:
- Legal advice — even when discussing topics like contracts, custody, school enrollment, or scholarship terms
- Financial advice — even when discussing program costs, scholarship awards, tax implications, or family finances
- Medical or psychological advice — even when discussing programs that involve physical activity, mental health, developmental milestones, or therapeutic services
- Educational advice — even when discussing curriculum, school choice, homeschool methods, or academic programs
- Safety or risk-management advice — even when discussing background checks, supervision, or protective measures
All content is provided for informational purposes only. Always consult qualified, licensed professionals for decisions affecting your child’s education, health, safety, finances, or legal status.
5. Personal Experiences and Opinions
When we share our own experiences with programs (our family’s participation, our honest reviews, our personal observations), these reflect OUR family’s individual experience at a specific point in time.
Your child’s experience may differ significantly from ours. Variables that affect program experience include but are not limited to:
- The child’s age, personality, interests, and prior experience
- Instructor changes between sessions
- Facility or location changes
- Group size and dynamics on a given day
- Curriculum or program updates
- Time of year, season, and external factors
What worked beautifully for our six children may not work for yours — and vice versa. Treat all personal anecdotes as starting points for your own evaluation, not as predictions of your child’s experience.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Mommy’s Dressing Room and its operating entity My Quantum Leap LLC, including our owners, members, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents, shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with:
- Your or your child’s participation in, experience with, or outcomes from any program listed in our content
- Any injury, damage, loss, harm, illness, abuse, or death resulting from program participation
- Programs that are full, canceled, postponed, discontinued, modified, or fail to meet your expectations
- Decisions you make based on information shared in our content
- Inaccuracies or omissions in program listings
- The acts, omissions, conduct, or negligence of any third-party program provider, instructor, or staff member
- Any contract, dispute, or legal matter arising between you and any third-party program provider
- Any product, service, or program purchased through an affiliate link or sponsored content
This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability — to the extent any limitation is unenforceable in your jurisdiction, this section shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Third-Party Links and Content
Our content contains links to third-party websites, registration pages, social media profiles, online retailers, and other external resources. We are NOT responsible for:
- The content, accuracy, or completeness of any linked website
- The privacy practices of any third-party website
- The availability or functioning of any external link
- Any transactions or interactions you have with third-party providers
- Any content, products, or services offered by third parties
- Pricing, availability, or quality of products purchased through external retailers
You access third-party websites at your own risk and subject to those websites’ own terms and privacy policies.
8. Affiliate Relationships, Sponsored Content, and Material Connections
In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255 (“Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising”), we provide the following disclosure regarding our material connections to brands, products, services, and programs featured across our website, blog, membership content, email communications, social media, and community spaces.
8a. We Use Affiliate Links
Mommy’s Dressing Room participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that some links across our content — including blog posts, member drops, emails, social media, and community spaces — are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate commissions help us continue creating and curating content for Chicagoland families.
The types of affiliate relationships we may have include, but are not limited to:
- Amazon Associates / Amazon Influencer Program — As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Direct brand partnerships — Individual relationships with brands or retailers.
- Affiliate networks — Including but not limited to Impact.com, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Rakuten, Awin, and similar platforms.
- Program and service referral partnerships — Including registration affiliates for camps, classes, educational platforms, subscription boxes, and other family-related services.
- Other affiliate or revenue-share arrangements that may be added over time.
8b. We Accept Sponsored Content
Mommy’s Dressing Room may publish sponsored content, including but not limited to:
- Sponsored posts and reviews — where a brand pays us to feature their product, program, or service
- Paid brand partnerships — including ongoing relationships, ambassadorships, and campaigns
- Paid product reviews — where we receive free products in exchange for our honest opinion
- Sponsored emails or member drops — where a portion of our paid content is funded by a brand
- Sponsored social media content — including posts, stories, reels, and other formats
8c. How We Disclose Material Connections
We commit to clearly and conspicuously disclosing material connections in accordance with FTC guidelines:
On the website (blog posts and pages):
- Posts containing affiliate links will include a disclosure at or near the top of the post — for example: “This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.”
- Sponsored posts will be clearly identified — for example: “Sponsored by [Brand Name]” or “This post is a paid partnership with [Brand Name].”
In email communications:
- Emails containing affiliate links will include a disclosure within the email itself, not solely on the linked website.
- Sponsored emails will be identified as such within the email body.
In social media content:
- Sponsored posts will use platform-required disclosure tools (such as Instagram’s “Paid Partnership” tag) and/or hashtags such as #ad, #sponsored, or #paidpartnership.
- Affiliate posts will include #affiliate, #affiliatelink, or equivalent language.
In member drops and community content:
- Member drops containing affiliate links or sponsored placements will be clearly labeled.
- Community spaces will not be used for undisclosed promotional content.
8d. Editorial Independence
Affiliate relationships and sponsored content do not change our honest opinions. We only feature programs, products, and services that we genuinely believe may be valuable to our audience. A brand cannot purchase a positive review from us. We retain full editorial control over what we feature, how we feature it, and the language we use.
If we receive a free product, payment, or commission opportunity for a program or product we do NOT believe in, we will either decline to feature it or feature it with our honest critique.
8e. No Obligation and No Price Impact
You are never obligated to use our affiliate links or purchase sponsored products. Affiliate links do not cost you anything extra — the commission is paid by the retailer or brand from their own marketing budget.
We encourage you to evaluate any product, program, or service on its own merits before purchasing, regardless of whether you reach it through one of our affiliate links.
8f. Reservation of Right to Modify
We reserve the right to add, modify, or terminate affiliate relationships and sponsored content arrangements at any time. The presence or absence of any specific affiliate relationship at any given time should not be assumed.
8g. Where Disclosure Conflicts
If specific FTC, state, or platform-specific disclosure rules require additional or different language than what appears in this section, those rules govern the disclosure for that specific instance. This section establishes our general practice; specific disclosures may be more detailed where law requires.
9. Content Intended for Parents, Not Children
All content from Mommy’s Dressing Room is intended for adult parents and guardians (18+) — NOT for children directly.
Programs we feature are intended for children, but the information, decisions, and registration responsibilities belong to the parent. We do not direct content to children, collect data from children, or facilitate direct communication between children and our service.
If your child accesses our content, that access is your responsibility to monitor and govern.
10. No Guarantee of Results
We make no representations or warranties about:
- The educational benefits your child will receive from any featured program
- The skills your child will develop through participation
- The likelihood your child will enjoy or excel at any program
- The lifelong impact of participation
- Scholarship award outcomes (we share opportunities; we do not control awards)
- College admissions outcomes (we share preparation opportunities; we do not predict acceptance)
- Career outcomes (we share career exploration opportunities; we do not guarantee employment)
- Outcomes from any product purchased through an affiliate link or sponsored placement
Every child is different. Every program is different. Outcomes vary widely based on factors entirely outside our control or knowledge.
11. Changes to This Disclaimer

Any disputes arising from this Disclaimer or the use of our content shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
