Last week my baby turned 9 months!!!! I shared my nine months in nine months photo on Instagram and I must admit that it feels like I just had him right here at home yesterday. Oh yeah, when I took a break while I was pregnant I forgot to tell y’all I had my baby at home and it was such a spiritual experience. I shared the video on youtube and I’ll be doing a Q & A about home births on my youtube channel so if you have any questions drop them below and I’ll be happy to answer them.

Ok back to the apple picking, so I took baby Zaccai apple picking last week, and gratefully we just had to walk outside. Our home is situated on several acres and it’s lush with fruit trees and all the wildlife you can imagine including deer coyotes and huge turtles. It’s pretty much a wonderland, or paradise, yeah paradise that’s what it’s like. Last year and this year we had our fill of cherries. We only knew about the apple and pear trees but the cherry trees and grape vines were a huge surprise. While checking the mail last year my husband told me he saw a bird fly past with a cherry in its mouth. I scoffed and rolled my eyes because “yeah right” I just knew he was seeing things. Two days later I was walking down the driveway when I looked up and saw two trees filled with bright red cherries. I gasped and then apologized to my husband because he was definitely not lying. Here’s a video of us picking cherries last year. Last year we didn’t get a chance to pick any pears or apples, the deer and other wildlife got to them before we could but this time I was ready. The weather was just right and I was feeling like having the sun in my face so I grabbed the baby and took him outside to pick some apples for his homemade baby food. He had as much fun as I did and now we have plenty of apples for his food and plenty left over for the next time we decide to go picking. Check out the video below.
