Hide your ovaries because the Mother OF All Baby Showers Luxe Event is coming for them. Last weekend I sat in a room with the who’s who of baby brands and I learned a ton about raising children as well as teaching children. The evening was filled with snacks, knowledge, prizes, great conversations, and more prizes. Although I don’t have any immediate plans to make our party of five a party of six I was catching all the feels and baby fever at this event.
One of the things that I took with me was something that guest speaker Maria Bailey from Mom Talk Radio said which was to “Be Present” with your children over the next two weeks and watch the changes. I really needed that reminder. Sometimes I forget that a large part of my mommy duties include being present and not just washing, folding, cleaning, ironing and wiping tears and butts. It’s my duty to be present and enjoy the journey with my children, so I walked away with that advice and now I’m gifting it to you.
In addition to that knowledge, I learned a ton about car seats from Diono. Did you know that they don’t turn car seats forward until their children turn 4? I’m seriously thinking about implementing this. I’m just brainstorming a way to convince the kids.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Scott from Enfamil who is incredibly hilarious and probably knows more about breastfeeding than I do which is kind of cool and almost not weird.
I also almost had a baby in the middle of the conference when I saw the beautiful baby furniture from Bratt Décor. Yes, I almost had a baby when I saw it.
I had a fantastic time at the MOAB Luxe Event D.C. and I look forward to attending next year. At this point, I’m not sure if I’ll need all the baby gear next year or not, but I still want that beautiful bassinet from Bratt Décor
The Mother of All Baby Showers will be stopping in Orlando, Pittsburgh, South Florida, and Tampa.
