Its summa, summa, summa tiiimmme and I’ve been knee deep in summer activities with my family. I like to say that its to keep the kids busy but in actuality its so they won’t drive me nuts being cooped up in the house all summer.
When school lets out and our days are wide open and free, I typically have a few family trips up my sleeve some planned, some sporadic and some secret. I love to pop up and tell the kids that we’re going on a trip and I can’t tell them where. They typically spend days guessing different places that they think we’re going, some of the guesses I’ve received in the past include “To the sun”, “Into outer space” and “Inside of a rainbow” none of these places have ever been on my trip list but who knows maybe one day we’ll all be able to visit the inside of a rainbow. I recently stumbled upon a really cool destination for family vacations that I’m planning to put on my “secret” trip list.
The place I’ve had my eye on for a family vacation is Wilderness At The Smokies in Tennesee. It is Tennessee’s Largest Waterpark Resort that features Indoor and Outdoor Waterparks, a Family Entertainment Center, multiple Food & Beverage venues, restaurants and snack shops. I love family vacations that are one-stop shops because that means I don’t have to travel far to make sure that the kids are entertained. The Smokies offers 3 waterparks included with your stay (Salamander Springs, Wild WaterDome, and Lake Wilderness). I love that there are 3 waterparks because you can easily decide to do one park a day that way you won’t get vacation burn out and you can take your time. Sometimes our family vacations include extended family which is always fun and it’s nice to know that they offer a wide range of accommodations, from single rooms to multi-room suites that sleep up to 16 guests. If you are looking for a family vacation that will cater to your entire family strongly consider Wilderness At The Smokies in Tennesee.
